Chelsea Alive After Round Number Five
After doing my author duties
Got to the pub for a futbol beauty
Liverpool Chelsea in a duel under the lights
Should go down to the final seconds I do write
But the score before I order is one nil
Hoping the Champions would be able to overcome this chill
I must say Chelsea did the early work
Even before I picked up my fork
Another half has come along
And the Reds must be feeling a little bit wrong
It had been nearly 144 minutes since they did their goal song and dance
Giving no chance for the coronavirus to advance
How up setter they could be with all this time no netter we see
Returning to the bridge Chelsea had marching orders
Having full control, no need for any confusing match related reason to sorter
Aggressive they do play
I must say
Making the English Premiere Champions earn their pay
Reds are the season star
While Chelsea works the FA Cup bar
Due to Liverpool mistakes
They must line up and show what it takes
To defend themselves from the direct kicks
Standing strong without any knowledge of sporting tricks
Hearing the little prayer, it was deflected over there
It did not go in
No need for Liverpool to call the tournament next of kin
A little later Chelsea did close the deal
Giving reality the news visiting Liverpool was not going to win a steal
Liverpool still holds the top spot in the EPL
While Chelsea realizes they are still in it as a marketing tool for the sport to sell
Nearly 188 minutes without a goal
Time to warm up using the boxer day gift of the stocking stuffer coal
But the boys in blue will continue towards the FA Cup crown
While now its time to celebrate with a night on the town.
