Cheese Dip Slip
Cheese dip slip
The cheddar and gouda were ready, my hand with the knife very steady
The party was moments away and I had to be quick
The chips and hors d’oeuvres were all plated, but still I was far from elated
The cheeses I needed to cut were quite hard and so thick
When slicing the big plate of cheeses, I felt now some oncoming sneezes
And holding them back didn’t work, they came out with a rip
I reached very quick for a tissue, but that didn’t help out the issue
When snot landed square in the bowl holding velveeta dip
Now needless to say I was worried, I cut up the cheese and I hurried
To scrape off the stuff on the dip now a bright shade of green
My big metal spoon was now stirring, the tools on my mixer were purring
And what I was left with now facing, an olive green sheen
My mind started rapidly turning, the thoughts that I had wildly churning
When I had a thought, like a light bulb the idea lit
Now I am to blame for this solely, I offered, “it’s fresh guacamole”
Though I didn’t eat it the party was now a big hit
** Velveeta is a processed cheese food melted for cheese dip.
