Cheer Your Lungs Out

The crack of the bat
  The arc of the ball
It lands over the fence
  Gives the fans a thrill

Close play at the plate
  A headfirst slide
Clouds of dust raised
  He's safe; game's tied!

Cheer your lungs out
  Give an occasional boo
Beer and brat at the ballpark
  Great day for me and for you

Kenneth Cheney June 2, 2021 at 6:48 AM Baseball is the grandest game of all. I'm not big on the direction of the game today. The rules changes are not improving the game. They wanted to speed up the games, and they all still take over 3 hours, except the 7-inning doubleheader games. :) gw
