Chava and Gila, To the Tune of Hava Nagila
Chava and Gila
Chava and Gila
Chava and Gila
Happy Israeli girls
Dancing all night and day
Trips on the best airways
Their lives were a breeze
Doing as they pleased
Then
one
gray
dark
day
The dancing stopped
The fun was over
War had come
They took cover
In bomb shelters
They did swelter
Never to sing
Never to sing
Never to sing --
or dance again anymore
Chava and Gila
Chava and Gila
Chava and Gild
Grew up before their time...
