Chastisement

She appeared one day seeking a chance,
This chance rested with me to proffer.
I saw potential problems at first glance,
Looking past the skills she might offer.

But God precluded my wrong intention,
Because inside my heart He could see.
An imperfection needing His intervention,
He used this young woman to chastise me.

Within my heart He has ordered her being,
With a charge like none previously known.
God gave me new spiritual eyes for seeing,
Since that day a kindred feeling has grown.
