Chasing the Dream

A thousand miles away
Though I cannot touch
I feel you so very near
My heart now beats with purpose
A new hope rises in my soul
My focus now very clear
Dreams with lack of pursuit
Soon wither and fade
Like a gift not cherished
I must move while there is hope
And step into this new horizon
Before the dream has perished
 Fate can be kind
when you least expect it
in the latest of hours
If your paying attention
And look in its garden
For the prettiest of flowers
Chase after this gift
For the sake of your heart
And never let go
And perhaps days of bliss
May pay a visit
So you can watch your love grow.

The beauty of picking flowers in a garden has no end. But to follow the gift of desire sounds like a dreams come true. You know what I like about dreams, if one dream pulls from the beauty we once felt, in time another will take its place. A sweet poem my friend. I admire the dreamer and the way he/she gives light without even knowing. Hugs Linda
