Chasing Someone Else's Dream
I’m on my way to the big time,
But first, a road trip with my friend.
We’ll drive through the desert, rain or shine
And make memories that’ll last ‘til the end.
I know exactly where I’m headed,
Straight to the city of Dallas.
Change is what I’ve always dreaded,
But my new life begins in Texas.
I have no clue what to expect,
But I am very excited.
If I make the squad, I’ll earn respect,
But first, I have to be invited.
It isn’t even a dream of my own,
To be a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader.
I’d rather just stop in San Antone,
Where my friend will, and stay with her.
I guess I’ll give it one real shot
Because someone (I can’t name) insists.
He just thinks the other girls are hot.
Oh, what the hell – his name is Chris!
Well, now you know my little story.
It’s a tale I’ll tell again and again.
I can’t wait to make some memories
With Michelle, my very best friend.
