Chase the Beast

Find that door we'd found before,
fly in before it closes,
then turn your light upon it love,
and chase that beast right out the door

Chase it now from near my heart,
back through the door
into the dark

Into the night where it belongs,
it won't look back,
if your light stays strong

Find it now, the frozen one
it's cold grip clutching at my soul,
a numbing monster, hidden well
your light again, will make it run

Shine that light and chase it down,
pin it to the frozen ground

Make it bear the fear I feel,
make it struggle,
cry and squeal

The cold one fears your loving light
it reels and hastens to escape,
the dark can't save it from this fate;
it's doom is sealed this very night

Now, keep that love light
burning bright

Keep it close to me,
each night

Don't let the beast
back near my door,
please keep your light on,
evermore
