CHARRED BUT NOT BURNT

We've gone through the fire 
We've been charred but not burnt 
And we give God the glory
For the lessons in life we've learnt

Charred would not burnt 
Possessing forgiving hearts 
Now never ever to forget 
The anointed was of God..

We've been singed by the sting 
Of the world's corruption and contempt 
Yet we're joyful, prayerful and grateful 
For by faith we've been exempt 

Charred but not burnt 
Possessing forgiving hearts 
Now never ever to forget 
The anointed word of God

Charred but not burnt 
As we pray without ceasing 
Sustaining spiritual growth 
While spiritually increasing 
Charred but not burnt 
Like a Phoenix rebound and renewed 
Rising up out of the ashes 
With a godly outlook, most shrewd 

Charred but not burnt 
Possessing forgiving hearts 
Now never ever to forget 
The anointed word of God 

Now cheerful most thankful 
no matter what's happening in life
Forever covered by the sacred blood 
Of our Lord Christ
