Charcoal Portrait
While hanging
your charcoal portrait
I sketched so long ago,
the gleaming glass
shone as mirror
and embossed
your inner glow
My image stood
beside you, resting
upon your shoulder,
still, whispering in
your ear, though
we're getting older
And then, I moved
my head by yours, our
images did show, and
I kissed the charcoal lips
on your portrait....from
long ago
