Character Traits
Self-submission and sure subjugation,
Bowing to the might in adoration;
Crushing the lowly and their cessation,
Had been my subtraction and summation...!
Why did I do so? Where did I go wrong?
Why was my soul weak, while my flesh was strong?
Why should a downtrodden oppress his kind?
Why should bane of selfishness fill my mind...?
These jumped and leaped like galloping horses,
Pride protected the paths of false forces;
Purpose of life seemed a private affair,
Did I feel that existence is a fair...?

My costliest pet dog barks at me now.
I'm utterly bankrupt; no more cash cow;
My reading, writing, and all my hobbies,
Have turned out to be meaningless lobbies...!
My love for my health, wealth, and luxuries,
My truths, myths, histories, and mysteries;
All have come to waste, like faded bouquets,
Do they now await their bonfire-like blaze...?
