Sweet love of mine
Can I borrow a sec?
To let your mind ponder..
How something so delicate
Can leave you in wonder?
I dwelt alone in this summer's weather
Hot and humid put altogether
It seems since I'm away from my lover
All joy has been plucked out from me like a feather
But Sweet love of mine
I want you just as you are,
You do not need a dollar sign
To be my one and only star
You've captivated me with your charm
the style of your grace
the tone of your enchanting accent
Have allured me into your trap
The wonderment of that to me
Is how my heart leaps for your presence
As time disappears like a dark sea
I find myself awaiting for something to be present
The delicacy of my love for you
Is the warmth you bring to me
And peacefulness that soaks through
When I can finally lay down beside you.
