Changing his fishy ways for a better 2017
He fishes for a way better year
setting his poles out by the pier
Last year it was Ms.Fail
That Jumped in his pail
Maybe it's his fishy fate
that he hasn't found a mate
No problem catching a drab
Or another slimy crab
Why can't he catch a prize
For his fishy eyes
To his fishy heart
And for his fishy parts
He has the accouterments
hook, line, and sinker
Granted the line has snapped
Or he catches crap
Or sometimes she slithers away
to his knowing dismay
Yet he has a nice tent
he owns he doesn't rent
why can't he find his babe by the sea
to make honey with like two little bees
life is ticking away for him
here's hoping his cup gets filled to the brim
yet there has been a drought
that leaves him with doubts
to whom it may concern it was all his fault
maybe he should change his fishy ways
for ringing in 2017 and ... better days
