Changes

SHE CAME AT DAWN
AND CALLED ME PAWN
SHE CAME WITH EMOTIONS BURNING
AND I KNEW NOT WHAT LIES BEYOND THE MORNING

SHE GAVE ME HER BODY
TO EXPLORE VINEGAR AND HONEY
IN HER I CAME
SPLUTTERING OUT MY BLAME

OH AUGUST VISITOR
WHAT MESSAGE BRINGS YOU FROM MY AUTHOR ?
IS IT OF PEARLS AND GOLD ?
OR OF MYSTERIES UNTOLD

SHE CONSTANTLY CAME WITH TEN THOUSAND PIECES OF ILLUSION
AND GAVE ME A PAINTED PICTURE OF MY IMAGINATION
SHE CLAIMED TO KNOW NOT WHAT NEXT SHE BRINGS
TILL THEN I GUESS I'LL JUST WAIT AND SING
