Change Rides Bareback

My hopes were high
For a future that held
Change riding in fast
On wild horses
Bareback and free
On a sunny morning
I saw my life being
Born again
It’s mother was a young
Possibility
Brimming with expectation
I watched as labor pains
Became growing pains
And my life darted
Steadily towards the horizon
