Notes About The Poem

Image result for pictures of an elderly woman in prayer

Change

the camelia blooms
despite freezing temperatures
off and on since fall
I, like the camelia have
some buds of beauty inside

gone is outward push
since death visited our house
strength is needed now
grief has hold and zaps my heart
Jesus, comfort me once more

daily my prayer streams
upward to heaven it flows
all our hopes and dreams
seemed lost, but His love restores
He answers my prayers so

hope isn't lost, but changed
change can be good in time, please
open my heart now
let change enter, outward flow
others will see blossoms show

We are born young, but eventually grow old. God is with us all the way. Great poem.

Victor, yes, in so many ways we are born young and then grow or stagnate. Thank you for the encouragement. Sara K

Dear Sara, change can be scary and unpleasant at times but it is inevitable. And to go through it is very hard. Be patient, everything will be alright. In 2025 evrything changed for me, it was very hard at first but I'm blooming now. You'll be in my prayers. Best, Anne

Your "Change" is a powerful read/write with a great picture. Change can be very hard but you will come through it. Your prayers are being heard. I have you on my Soup prayer list. Hugs... Have a Blessed Day/Week Writing Away..................

Why, thank you, Paula, I appreciate the soup prayer list. We all need it all the time but sometimes we need it more than others. We never know what a prayer for someone might do. Thank you for the visit. Sara K

Oh with time, sweet Sara. Be patient with yourself. You are already starting to bloom. We often cannot see it but others do. Hugs.
