Chances

We Take chances for not knowing what is ahead of us,
All we have is fear that surrounds us without any reasons;
We take chances for not knowing what love is about,
All we have is our expectation that keeps us moving ahead;
Trying not to make the same mistake that haunts me every night,
Realizing the emptiness that has left my heart with darkness and pain;
It’s never easy taking every breath without thinking of tomorrow;
All I have is just memories of yesterday that has left me of nothing,
But I have somehow made it through the dark nights of my fears.

Your poems remind me of the times I have felt pain so deeply that a sense of hopelessness comes forth, but also a sense of surrender in knowing that I don't understand this life, and maybe never will.
