Chance

How I wish I could turn back the hands of time
so I could re-read some of the lines I’ve said;
I didn’t really mean them that way,
I hope you would understand.

How I hurt you before now I know
so I am here trying to show the world
that I’m changing my wayward ways
to get you back with me again.

Give me a chance to love you more each day,
it’s my only way to make up;
don’t tell me it’s all too late,
give me a chance to love you more each day.

Give me time, give me hope,
give me love, give me strength;
help me cope with this heavy load,
let me live the rest of my life with you.
