Chalk Drawings

The chalk comes in all hues for
Them to break away
From the mundane of every day.
Children of young ages are doing chalk
Drawings on the driveway.
So many things and designs are going through
Their heads it gives them something new to
Explore for today.
I see colorful bugs, butterflies, dogs, cats,
And a horse that is dappled gray.
Believe it or not this is another form of play.
When the children are done we take pictures
Of their work to put it on display.
The best part is clean up is easy with a water
Hose everything gets washed away.
The great news is it is ready for the artists on
Another day.

This is cute. It is not something I did as a child but I have seen a bit of it. Even more increbible , I saw a woman on a talent show making stories from pictures in the sand. It was amazing.

I am glad you got to see that woman making pictures from sand. Chalk Drawings done by little ones are amazing. They have so much fun doing it not to mention how proud they are that they have decorated the driveway. Lol.

I love chalk drawings. My grandchildren and I can fill the entire driveway, and it is 165 feet long and 45 feet wide. It takes a week, but we do it. Thank you for the reminder. It is GREAT Play! My husband has a fit when I let them start on the garage doors. It is CHALK! It waters away, and that is their next favorite part!

Lol. I know what you mean. It easy to do with all my children plus their friends we have it done up real nice in time. Well! I figure if you do one the garage has to match the driveway. The great part is it washes away real easy. The children have fun cleaning up everything with the water hose. Including each other. Lol.
