Chains Of Sorrow

I'm hurting inside
I don't know why
There's been no tragedy
And yet I still cry

I do not understand
What I'm going through
Yet misery blankets me
Like the morning dew

One morning I awoke
My heart weighted down
The joy on my face
Was covered by a frown

Showing to the world
That I was in agony
Imprisoned by depression
I long to be free

Not bound by sorrow
Or its heavy chain
But that will never happen
As a prisoner I'll remain
