Chained To This World, Chained To My Fate

Chained To This World, Chained To My Fate

Chained to this world, chained to my Fate.
I want love, sadly feel it is too late.

I see beauty of Nature's speckled fawn
Yet feel not glory of soft-rising dawn
Life is a battle, never been my friend
In all my nightmarish dreams, I beg its end
Once was a dream-kiss but that is over
The bees all died in the poison clover
Now wicked world lands heartache at my feet
In this life, one wins only if they cheat
I remember that day, that horrid date
When love left me, left me to my Fate!

Chained to this world, chained to my Fate.
I want love, sadly feel it is too late.

A wonderful story/write. Life has both good and bad, that is where faith comes in. It is good to see you writing more. I guess things have worked out for you. May you the blessed as you write away.......................

Thank you my friend. Faith always awards blessings in precise measures that are by divine decrees warranted, imho. Life has yielded the good and the bad - currently faith shows me that the majority past bad was due to my own making. God bless...

Thank you my friend. 1976 was a terrible year for me. My baby brother died at age 14, I lost my new girlfriend and a couple months later I had a bad motorcycle wreck. Yet the 22 year old me survived and faced this dark world with the deep-born bravado from my bloodline., God bless...

An deeply emotive write on lost love. I could feel the emotions portrayed in this poem. Not easy to live with lost love. Wonderful poem friend.

With age comes wisdom and quite often a rather large bevy of hard knocks and bruises! There is truth in the old saying, " whatever don't kill you, will make you stronger." This old dark world is not a tender or forgiving place.

Thank you my friend. In youth one must face whatever this dark world hits them with. Such is a learning curve that more often than not ends up benefitting the victim later on in life. At least that is how I now see it-- after having survived it.. God bless...
