Chained

To be still bound by an unbroken chain. No way to release, all the clenched up pain. Someone you care for with all of your heart. Yet so far away, with the threat that it will all fall apart. No matter all your hopes, and all of your tries. This one precious thing will be your demise. A memory of something that will hold you back, Will become the thorn in your side, a sharp edged tack. For the distance is too far, the love is not as strong, It’s only a matter of time till you join the social throng. But the real question is, how long, what time? Will it be by the end of this despicable rhyme? The end is near; you can see the end light, Yet you can run away, no matter strength or might. I would hope it would last, I would hope it could stay, But it marked and set, for some ill fated day. Every fairy tale will have some kind of ending, Comedy, or Drama, the choice is still pending. Will you go off with a bang, with sound resounding, Or will you just fall down, to get hit, with a pounding.
