Centuries of Seeking

Centuries of seeking yet never to find,
The one true soul that was like mine.
So many souls I have touched along my way,
Yet never one to take my hand or make me want to stay.
And so I walked through this journey with a smile and loving heart.
Still seeking that one true love to capture my heart.
Never feeling it was meant for me,
Never admitting the depth of loneliness in me.
You entered my path and somehow I knew My searching was over for I found the heart that is true.
Never speaking those romantic words \,
But touching my spirit and soul where feelings speak volumes not just words.
My journey now is over as a single soul,
Now we follow the path together for we make each other whole.
Bonded in spirit, in soul and heart,
We now look to a new future, a new life and a new start.
