Cemetary Thoughts

Walking today
in that special place
silent and peaceful
strait solemn face

just thoughts and memories
how things once were
seeing happy visions
warm thoughts of her

playing in my head
that day we stood here
not long ago
now disappear

fox runs for cover
squirrel on a stone
sitting under our tree
there all alone

autumn breeze blowing
dark cloudy sky
how things can change
a blink of an eye

just another passage
in an unhappy life
filled with regret
sorrow and strife

I always come here
to just get away
far from my real life
wishing I could stay
