Celestial Silence

I see the stars in heaven’s silent flight,
Caught in the glow of a crescent moon.
Tall pines stand watch in ranks of night,
Bathed in the light of a crescent moon.
I feel the snow, deep-pressed and cold below,
Its crystal skin reflecting lunar gleam.
A northerly wind blows softly in,
Breathing life beneath the moon’s pale sheen.
Now dawn approaches - gold in the east,
Outstretched fingers breaking celestial peace.
Yet I do not mourn the night’s retreat,
For heaven’s beauty I’ll soon meet again,
Ever beneath the light of the crescent moon.
