Celebrate America's Birthday
Ah! Times Square won't see
America's Birthday Celebration,
the arrogant mayor has decided to ban it
with a silly, pathetic proclamation
to increase our wrath!
We thought that America came first,
be ready to face a gloomy day,
a sparkless night, hearts in disarray;
don't ever invite the Devil
to plot and disunite,
don't let enthusiasm sink too low,
our patriotic flame won't flicker
in forgetfulness, but forever it will glow!
Seeing the American flag wave
in the splendor of lights:
it's glorious, it's so grand!
Celebrate America's birthday
without intimidation,
it's your birthright,
make Lady Liberty happy,
make her proud,
excite the crowd,
she'll smile from admiration;
she'll firmly stand
against each enemy!
Yeah! Whoever defends
this emblem of precious liberty
is so blessed, is so free!
Yeah! Sing the Anthem, hold hands!
