Celebrate America's Birthday
Damn, Times Square won't see, at its door,
the glamor of America's Birthday Celebration;
an arrogant mayor is banning it with anger,
with a silly explanation to distract attention!
We all thought that America came first,
be ready to face a gloomy day,
a sparkless night,
hearts in disarray!
Don't ever invite the Devil to plot and disunite;
don't ever let your enthusiasm sink too low:
our patriotic flame
will never flicker in forgetfulness,
but forever glow!
Seeing the American Flag
wave in the splendor of lights:
is so glorious, is so grand!
Celebrate America's Birthday,
without intimidation,
it's your birthright;
turn every shout to delight!
make Lady Liberty happy,
make her proud,
excite the crowd:
she'll smile from admiration!
Won't she stand
against each enemy?
Yeah! Whoever defends
this emblem of precious liberty
is so blessed, is so free;
sing the enthem, hold hands!
