Ceaseless Why

the cry of a hungry child
  a desperate mother's sigh

a weary world's incessant why
  no answer from the sky

What is worse is all those Hispanic mothers knowing that food and care for their children is not miles away, but just on the other side of the fence! Well said, Gershon! Aloha! Rico

Looks like they read this and are creeping over the fence . . . . Aloha! Rico

Ah, so true and so revealing. I can feel your empathy as well as your anxiety. You have a sensitive heart. A true poet's heart and soul.

Today, our world has many problems and it seems the cries and sighs are ignored now more than ever. I wish there were a way to feed hungry families. So sad. Very touching, Gershon. Hugs, Carolyn

Thank you for the spot-on comment, Carolyn. It is so frustrating, esp. as there are resources that could, indeed, feed the whole world, were it not for the machinations of politicians and tin-horn dictators. Faith and Strength, Gershon
