Cave In

Whisps of cloud finesse the air
Intoxicated by the night
Breathe deeply effervescent light
From silver stars and empty stares

And when the twilight fades to black
And shades become reality
The only Truth that I can see
Is made by all that all things lack

But in the daytime, light is cast
Still burning from a paper sun
The height and length our lives become
Constricted from what was the past

So here we evanesce to air
Intoxicating shadows seen
But mirrors of who I have been
These holes for eyes, we try to care
