Cause and Affect

What balances you out, I wonder,
When life is running you down.
Is it that cup of tea in the morning,
That can turn a smile from a frown?
Are there days when a hug will do it,
One light kiss on the back of the neck;
A sure love to hold in the evening,
The night's sunset that's shared from the deck?
The troubles in life that befall you
Should be met with some style and some grace
Our days on this earth are not endless
And there's more to life than the race.
