Cats Kill Billions Every Year
Cats Kill Billions Every Year
By Elton Camp
(Based on a study appearing in Nature Communications)
You think your cat cuddly and sweet
Others may not consider it so neat
Even more than anyone might expect,
On the birds, it’s a devastating effect
Every year, it’s up to three billion they kill
On the bird population, this puts a chill
Over eighty-four million cats folks own
More millions wild cats make birds gone
Up to twenty billions mammals they slay
Chipmunks head the list the experts say
If your sweet kitty big enough could grow
Then YOU might well be the next to go
(I realize some may not like this, but consider googling the article and read it before you decide. Cats delight in tormenting their prey before finally killing.)
