Cats
Cats-
My stomach is growling
I need to find a small snack to stop its howling
My cat sees my tuna treat
Immediately sneaks into my seat
For some reason he thinks its for him to eat
The meowing begins we have a small war
Its becoming a chore to tell him no anymore
I put my plate in the air
he leaps from my chair
The plate falls to the floor
and the spoon hits the door
The juices have sunk into the carpet
Im keeping my cool surprised I have not lost it
the cat scrapes the floor with his claws
Trying to bury my tuna as he bats and paws at it
I just shake my head wondering whats wrong with it
The tuna was going to be a quick fix for my growling stomach
and he is acting like its poison when its a favorite treat
as I picked up the half empty can I look at the date
Sure enough Id have been more sorry if I would have ate
thankfully the cat, he pranced and meowed
Knocking the food on the floor
Im now thankful evermore
