Catharsis

I feel it
Shifting within me
Wandering in open space
A gypsy striving to get
From place to place
Whether it slithers
So slowly
 At a snail’s pace
Or simmers in an
Utterly poignant disgrace
I feel it
Gliding amidst my organs
Making my heart race
Venturing forward
As if on a wild, stormy
Chase
In search of an exit
Burning its trace
Through my every sense
I therefore rest my case
And simply write it
Down

A very imaginative way to describe this "gypsy "striving to get from place to place! I fully understand . Well this one found it's exit and we are glad it did, Farah. and thank you for your very thoughtful comments on "Fishing".God bless you.

I love the verse ..yet the last few lines caused me pause. The "muse" which brings us such lovely meaning full verse can not be bad? yet occasionally it does feel like possesion LOL. Light & Love

I like how you used all the s verbs in the first stanza--interesting way to capture the reader's attention. The unique perspective kept my attention. I really like the ending. Glad to have you back at The Soup posting your poetry. Keep up the good writing. Thank you for your kind comment. Karen
