Catching a Glimpse

A half white half black cat did walk across the landscape, Appearing before it a figure cloaked in light; Squinting its eyes, the sleek furred mammal readied an escape A hand quickly outstretched left the four legged one with a fright. Sprinting away the cat made haste; Light dimming slowly, the shadowed hand gained reach, The dual colored one’s time seemed to be of waste, As the black shadow closed around the one who let out a piercing screech.
