Cat and Mouse

It’s a constant cat and mouse chase that keeps me on my feet
Nomadic thoughts, nomadic heart
Nowhere to call “home”
I watch my back, parallel to the wall I look around
Back and forth, left and right, up and down.
But where and when can I find peace?

“We want to know, we need to know”
Say nothing, hear nothing.
On the precipice of insanity,
I wish I could just
Stop moving.
Stop thinking.
Stop being.
