Cascading

Like the cascading of a waterfall,
Thoughts tumble through my mind,
I battle against the currents,
Unsure of what I'll find,
Thoughts turn into words,
Spilling out in ink,
Transferred to paper,
To protect me from the brink.
Tides of passion,
Move strongly with the waves,
Nonsensical and whimsical,
My sanity is saved.
Like the cascading of a waterfall,
My thoughts surge on,
Words, ink and paper,
Soon become one.
