Carolyn Ann

You gave me life and not much else at all
Hurting me made you feel ten feet tall
You threw me away like a dirty shirt
What you did Carolyn, really did hurt
            Do you care?
            Can you see?
            I have your hair
            Can you see me?
You lied to me about how my life was then
You lied to me while you wore a smug grin
You claimed to love me, what a big lie
All I want to know is why Carolyn, why?
            I never hurt you
            Tell me how you can
            Act like I'm nothing
            Carolyn Ann
