Carolyn
Though waves of tears
have washed you now,
unto another shore,
a precious echo of your heart,
to Whom your poem implored
'Lord, let me embrace him once more,
Before You carry him home',
Penned as rushing tears
crashed flooding,
life's sorrowed
silt and loam
Carolyn, your poems
now read, penned through
your loving hand
Times of sunshine
Or Days of rain
fell way'
like grains of sand
Rest in Peace sweet poet
now forevermore.
Though poets pen has tearfully,
with sorrow, been laid down
The words you wove together
are a golden poet's crown,
Now as we ponder poetry
that you have left behind,
Tears fall, our hearts
are mourning
as we are so inclined,
Yet you're released
to heaven's mercy
Of Creator's love sublime
You entrusted in a prayer
A loving Lord you could not see,
Behind you lay life's sorrows now
that veil of misery
Onward walk dear Caroline
in heaven's wonderous peace
Upon the blessed waters
Beside a crystal sea
And the joy you find
Forever there
will never ebb or cease
Written for Carolyn,
Rest in Peace
dear poet
