Caressing the Keys

She sits at the piano and caresses the keys Playing those songs of old With melodies that please, Churning out rhapsodies in gold Each melody brings back a memory of people she loved, who taught her to play and gave her the skills thereof She floats through each melody with fingertip ease, Like a butterfly fluttering on a lilac breeze 3-6-2024

While each soothing melody curls around the heart, memories softly serenade the soul. I can relate. This is beautiful, tender and emotional, all at the same time. My best to you, Joseph. Hugs, Brandy

loved the flow and sentimentality of this poem. It reminded me so of my mom, who played her piano till her last day, often lost in time as she played. Nicely done! enjoy your evening, Sara

Delightfully attuned to music and memories--much enjoyed your poem Joseph. --Each melody brings back a memory of people she loved, who taught her to play--I feel the tenor of her piano keys.
