Caress of the Sea

Land lies long away,
A place where peace will be,
Where water ebbs and sways,
Where my soul is kissed with tides of sea.

A place where night is orange-red,
Where seagulls play in shade of water’s sound,
Where drums are beats of waves on shore-bed,
Where music echoes as creatures crawl on strings of sand.

A place where I can cast away sorrows of reality,
Where I can sleep in sanctuary of solitude,
Midst warm beach and caress of ocean’s serenity,
Songs I’ll sing of Lord’s psalms, strengthened by His Fortitude.
