Car Parade

Who was to know
how this year was to go
a virus came to town
closing everything down.

Your birthday came at this time
six feet apart draw the line
so could not give you a hug
or give your balloons a tug.

We gave you a car parade
while at home you stayed
for your 11th birthday bash
we all gave cash

It made me sad
but I was glad
to see your big smile
if only for a little while.

Though you could not be there personally, the smile brightened your day

Hello Phyllis … yes, we too have had our disappointments but have learnt to live with talking to each other over the ipad. At one minute to midnight we were allowed to go fishing again last night; our son was fishing at midnight and hooked some good sized fish - stay safe Phyllis & Al - Lindsay

How cute and how sad - but it will all come to pass my friend and you will hug your whole family soon and we will all rejoice when this horrendous virus makes its exit. 'But you saw her big smile, if only for a little while' Blessings Phyllis, Jennifer.
