Capture Her Flame
Capture her flame
Since the moment I saw her face and she told me her name
I’ve been trying hard but in vain to capture her flame
Such a wild and whimsical woman so flamboyant and bold
But with a visage like a gentle dove so lovely to behold
It was never to be the fates whispered to me as much
I was enslaved on that moment I felt her gentle soft touch
The times we spent together were both fire and cold as ice
Filled with passion and tenderness even some that weren’t nice
On a futile quest like Ahab he who sought to take a whale great white
Yet lo and behold I still miss holding her each night
I have recently listened to reason and given up a lost cause to an endless quest
But the one that got away most recently is the thing I crave best.
