Captive To My Need

You are my need, my understanding
You are the prisoner of my stare
You're my fantasy, my reality
You are my comfort in despair

You are my need, you're my hopes and dreams
You are the very breath I breathe
You're the words in every love song
You're the magic up my sleeve

You are my need, you're my confidant
You are the blessings in my prayers
You're my rose among a world of thorns
You're the diamond my future wears

You are my need, you're my resting place
You are my shelter in the storm
You're the fire in the cold dark nights
You're the ember that keeps me warm

You are my need, my satisfaction
You are the reason that I succeed
You're the love that only comes once
And I am a captive to my need
