Can'T We

The winter went away and you came along wish you well, I wish to tell you so much Can't we come and go but never leave we must believe the tides that brought us can't we? Can't we listen in to secrets safe here keep them til' we're old and grey, someday can't we? I found a strawberry hair upon my sweater but left it there for when I next time wear it And spring is 'round us reddening your face and bringing out the freckles finely strung across it Can't we love like love is itself our own yet unknown to all the wide world can't we? Can't we lie down now in softer grass as it may be our last night with the stars all flick'ring can't we? The winter went away and you came along wish you well, I wish to tell you so much
