Can't Put Your Arms Around a Memory
Can’t Put Your Arms Around A Memory
Just thinking.
The other day.
So many years have passed.
Standing under the orange sun.
Time is fading.
Like pictures in a frame.
Everyone has forgotten.
Can’t put your arms
Around a memory.
So long ago.
In a small town.
So carefree.
A child-hood dream.
Time is unforgiving.
Into the old, my mind is forgetting.
Hold me while I’m dying.
Eyes are burning.
Sit patient next to me.
One last breath.
All wait for you from above.
The suffering will last just a moment.
All be free at last.
