Cant Feed On What Is Gone

Sand storms one night Blinded my sight Blew me to a land Where I ate from your hand That was the beginning Of the end You were my lover but never my friend Drinking from your well Almost landed me in hell Tasting your blood Landed me in the mud Feeding on turmoil The ultimate distraction Brought you such joy…satisfaction Days turned to months Then, it was years All along you were digesting my tender young tears But one day a wind transported me to some place new My strength increased and my insight grew Without my rivers you started to hide Without my love you finally died.
