Can'T Do This Anymore

I can’t do this anymore, wait for you
There are dreams we’ve both ignored
I need them to come true
There are promises we made, I’ve kept
The fact you didn’t is your regret

I can’t do this anymore, cry for you
You don’t deserve my tears now
There’s no recourse left to prove
For what it was you took from me
When you ran, I can’t be free

I can’t do this anymore, be your friend
Believe me, I have tried so hard
To mend the broken pieces
Of this painful, shattered heart
But you’re the reason I fell apart

I can’t do this anymore, pretend
Acting as though I’m not dying
When we know how it will end
Believing inside that love is true
The love I once held for you

But acting like I don’t love you
I just can’t do this anymore…
