Candlelight

I sit here staring at this blank page,
wandering which emotions to scribble,
while my thoughts bounce around,
like a basketball being dribbled.
Is it sadness? happiness?
love? hate? or aggression?
Could it be animosity, or a deeper suppression?
Perhaps a mixture, with a lot of in between,
You ask if I'm ok?
Why, whatever do you mean?
Could it be because I cry in agony and shut it off when you walk in?
Could it be because I can smile, then turn around and feel empty again?
Could it be because my thought process can change from day to day?
Could it be because I laugh so lighthearted, to keep the dark away?
Some understand the darkness, some understand the light,
So if your like me and not so sure, stay in the candlelight!
