Candle Born

Please leave behind a candle born 
to blink away dark of night..
as stars give way to distant morn,  
please leave behind a candle born. 
Though night voices call out forlorn,     
and timid few choose garish light..   
please leave behind a candle born- 
to blink away dark of night.
