Cancer Cancer Cancer

Cancer
Attacks
Normal cells die
Causing mutations
Ever growing
Reproducing.

Chemotherapy
Aggressive treatment
Necessary needles
Chemicals annihilate
Excruciating
Rescue.

Cancer
Anguished pain
Negotiations with God
Courage required
Exhausting
Remission please.

I dont think there are many people who haven't been touched directly or indirectly by this disease:-(My husband had cancer in 2013 and it was then I picked up my pen for the first time since schooldays. he's recently had 6 1/2 weeks of radio therapy and is doing brilliantly.hugs Jan xx

So pleased your husband is doing well. A very good friend died of this horrible disease a couple of years ago and he is missed terribly. Thankfully another friend has just had stem cell treatment after his second bout of the big C and is now cancer free and has very recently given his daughter away at her marriage.

This is so true Elizabeth and your imagery expresses it so well about a disease that touches many peoples lives - excellent write. With kindest thoughts Ann xx
